Thomas Robins was born at Charlton Kings near Cheltenham in 1716. He moved to Bath about 1740. His first dated drawing (1747) of the Queen’s and the King’s Baths was later engraved by W. Elliott (1764). His “Prospect of Bath from Beachen Cliff” was published in 1757.
He was known as the Limner of Bath.

He died in 1770.

There is a view of North Parade by Robins Sr.
